SHINE

Our newest program, SHINE, is a unique and personal short-term missions opportunity available throughout the year.

If you sense a calling to foreign missions and would like to experience life on the mission field, AWAKEN DTC would love to assist you. This 1-to-2 week missions immersive includes a personalized SHINE schedule that allows you to experience community outreach and immersion in the culture, with opportunities to serve at the AWAKEN DTC base, minister at local orphanages and convalescent homes, and serve alongside visiting teams. SHINE participants visit key locations around Tijuana, including the border wall, red-light district, town center, and the marketplace. This is a great way to engage with the people of Mexico as you experience the culture firsthand.

As Christians, we all have a calling to shine the light of Jesus to others and glorify our Father in Heaven with our good works (Matthew 5:14-16). Whether you choose to come for one week or two, the experience will leave a lasting impact as the Lord works in and through you.
