A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR

What’s in a name? Many of us memorized this line from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, but the answer is – A LOT!

In fact, our new name is reflective of the exciting season of new opportunities we are entering.

First, you may be asking, what new name?

The Calvary Training Center is now
AWAKEN DISCIPLESHIP AND TRAINING CENTER.
Why the change?

Because, as a ministry of AWAKEN LAS VEGAS, we believe the Lord is sparking a new call- to new life in the church (revival) and new life among the lost (salvation and evangelism).
Ephesians 5:14 is an anchor verse, stating , “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
Jesus is constantly calling his church to a deeper, fuller walk, which equips us to reach those who are dead in their sins.

Continuing with the questions we are sure you are asking -
still (and always) a Calvary Chapel Ministry!
Those foundational roots are deep here, and we so appreciate being part of the Calvary Chapel family.

Why DISICPLESHIP and TRAINING CENTER? Because the Lord has also impressed that discipleship, making and growing disciples, is central to our ministry. We can teach train and equip, but ultimately, those are just components of discipleship,
as believers learn to trust Jesus more fully and act in Faith.

What’s on the Horizon? We are so excited to be a part of AWAKEN Tijuana, a 2-day event happening November 11-12 at Xolos Stadium here in Tijuana. Churches from all over Baja California and Southern California and Nevada will join to reach out to the community with AWAKEN AID and be conduits for the Gospel at AWAKEN outreach (November 12). Our Mission

Our mission is simple but meaningful- to raise up leaders who will impact the world by making disciples of all nations!

Our Vision

Our vision is to know the Lord Jesus Christ and to make Him known in our church, in our city and our world as well as to plant churches and Awaken Discipleship and Training Centers with the same fourfold vision and mission in Mexico, Central America, and South America, with each of those helping found multiple church plants and so on and so forth until the whole world hears!

Bridges

(Short-term Mission Teams)

Are you or your church interested in ministering here in Mexico? We would love to be able to partner with and help you share the love of Jesus with our surrounding community. Awaken DTC is able to house teams, prepare meals, and help you arrange the ministry itinerary that the Lord has put on your heart. We pray that your short term trip to Mexico will light a fire in your heart for the mission field!

Collective

Collective is an eight-week intensive course designed to train church planters, their families and their team leaders to plant churches in Mexico, Central, and South America and to the ends of the earth! This thrilling experience offers Biblical, practical and academic preparation as a final step before being sent out to the mission field.

Vástagos (Internship Program)

Our mission is to lead individuals into a greater understanding of God’s call on their life and to train and prepare them for full-time ministry and missions leadership. Our prayerful promise is that those who are sent to Awaken DTC would return home transformed to be stronger disciples for Christ, equipped for every good work and fully prepared for cross-cultural ministry.

Niños del Rey (

After-School

Program)

Niños del Rey (Kids of the King) is an after-school program for local elementary school students. The vision for this program is to minister to the children and to introduce them to Jesus. Three days a week, the students are served lunch, taught a Bible study, and given help with their homework.
